Mary Marg Helgenberger (born November 16th, 1958) is an American actress from America. She began her acting career around the turn of the decade, and was initially noticed due to her role as Siobhan Ryan between 1982 and 1986 on the daytime show Ryan's Hope. The most famous role she has played in the show is Catherine Willows, a CBS procedural crime drama. Crime Scene Investigation (2000-13) and its sequel, the television movie Immortality (2015). She is the eldest of four children. McCain attended school through Phoenix Country Day School. Phoenix Country Day School and Xavier College Preparatory an all-girl private Catholic high school. In 2007, she received a Bachelor's Degree in Art Studies from Columbia University. In 2017, she was a part of the talk show on daytime The View where she co-hosted until 2021 and received 4 Daytime Emmy award nominations for her work. McCain also became an Daily Mail journalist after her three-year run as a reporter on The View. McCain wrote four books. These included Dad John McCain (2008), My Dad John McCain (2008) Dirty Sexy Politics (2010) America You Sexy Bitch : A Love Letter to Freedom along with Michael Ian Black (2012) as well as Bad Republican (2022).
